Splash Pages

If I wanted to spend my whole time online downloading pretty photo manips, I'd go browse a fanart site. I'm sick of these things. Sure, it's nice to use a site that's well-presented, but that doesn't necessarily mean it has to use over 400kb of graphics. Unless I have a very good reason to use the site, I will automatically leave on principle. It's self-gratifying photoshop pushing on an unnecessary level. Fanart galleries, look the phrase up, show your work off there, I'm sick of it stealing my dial-up bandwidth.

*pokes tongue out* im not good at fanarts because the image has to be contained within a certain boundary...

with webdesign you can make it fade into the layout and stuff...

Maybe you should have a gallery of webdesigns then. I'm not complaining about your site so much, because I know it's worthwhile, and to be honest most of the time I just turn the images off. (All praise be to toggle on Opera.) But on sites I'm not familiar with I like to check that the design isn't all skewy without the images, and then I just get bored, and then I just leave. I can't imagine I'm the only one.

That is a good feature... shame I haven't managed to actually find it.
