LiveJournal. Want. Take. Have.

I know it's awful a lot of the time. I have big issues with it, in particular with how cliquey it can get. However, it isn't going away anytime soon, and you'd have to be in serious denial to attempt to pretend that it isn't a major part of keeping up with fandom. I don't plan to use it for anything other than the friends page and for commenting on other people's journals, but I'm really sick of going through a list of bookmarks of over 30 ljs every day. Some of whom are friends, a lot of whom are writers that I need to keep up with for Every Single One.

So I've decided to ignore the self-righteous, slightly snobbish set of principles I've developed as an outsider in favour of being a bit practical. Probably a bit of a first for me, being practical, but I've got to start somewhere. Lilaceous gave me the activation code, and held my hand through the traumatic sign-up procedure, so that I now have a shiny new livejournal. And a set of bookmarks to gleefully start deleting. There's also a livejournal feed for this blog, over at http://www.livejournal.com/users/laceoversand for anybody that wants to put this place on their friends list. Not entirely sure how that works still, despite very patient and multiple explanations, but I'm sure you lj boffs will know what it's on about.
