wrecced
Write. Write. Yes, I need to be writing.
I seem to be having a bit of a reading phase; I cannot stop reading long enought to write anything. Which leaves me in a bit of a mess, as I have 7 or 8 different things I should be working on right this minute.
Blogging comes first, as always. If the blog can survive NaNoWriMo, I'm sure as hell going to make sure it survives a renewed reading obsession.
I just dropped my hairband in a giant cappucino mug only recently emptied of Bachelor's Supanoodles. It joins a banana skin and chopsticks.
LaceOverSand has had a bit of a sort out. Whilst not all posts are now categorised, there are 3 distinct categories in which the odd post may fall into. Probably more for my convenience than for anybody else's, there is fanfic, in which I will dump my own writing, of links and orange juice, containing lists of links and commentary on orange juice, and opinion, which shold hopefully contain my more topical views on issues. I also changed the links to recent entries to links to not-so-recent entries, as it seemed a bit daft to have a list of posts which were nearly always all on the main page anyway. Oh, and I checked the links to the rss feeds.
I did, like, technical stuff. There was all this copying and pasting involved. It was all, like, really tech. Dude. I'm feeling all accomplished.
The other main addition to the site is wrecced. For those of you reading this offsite, it is a variation on a linklog, and can be found on the sidebar. The rss feed is over here, but there is no LiveJournal feed set up as yet. If anybody's interested, I know how myself now, so just let me know and I'll sort it out.
So, wrecced. It's a bandwagon. I don't think I've quite jumped on it, but it's possible that I'm being towed along by it whilst quietly sitting in my own little wheelbarrow. Linklogs seem to be the latest online fashion, and it occurred to me a short while ago that it would be perfect for reccing. For those of you outside of fandom, that's rec as in reccomendation, fics wot I reckon is good, and rec.
This has troubled me slightly in the past, because I read a lot of good work which I quite often mean to mention to people, and then never do. I also read a lot of good work which I mean to give feedback for, and then never do. Hopefully, this will kill two birds with one badly aimed but ultimately highly effective explosive blast.
For those of you interested the fandoms that are likely to get regular mentions are RPS, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Once Upon A Time In Mexico, Boondock Saints, Pirates of the Carribean, and Buffy. But I have sneaked in a Miscellaneous category in which to point out slightly more random pieces.
All I have to do now is to write the glossary/decoder for all those cryptic fic terms I use. Coming soon, I'm sure.
