Loose And Sketchy
Sméagol - because Andy is amazing and has a fascinating character face. The first time I saw Return of the King I squee-ed in a major way to get the chance to see some Sméagol. In terms of the sketch, it doesn't really feel finished, but then none of my stuff ever does. Possibly because it's not. Started just before I went off to the London Comic Con, so it's been sitting around for a while.
Denethor - drawn for the Fellowship Festival, because I knew John Noble would be there. I did have plans to do something a little bigger for/from this, but as usual things all got a bit much. I strugged to finish this on the train on the way there, and I still hate the hand with a vengeance. I suppose I could fix it relatively easily, but I feel sort of finished with it.
Saruman - my favourite of this batch. I found the FotR piano score music in WHSmiths an bought it for the pictures, one of which was this one. I don't often attempt to draw full lenth figures and their clothing, but this was incredibly rewarding. There's just so many places to work into.
Cate - from the vogue italia photo shoot. I love this photo, and I got my arse into gear to finally sketch a little Cate for Jo as a birthday present. This woman is a delight to draw. Seriously one of the most incredible beauties around.
